Our retro fabric collection features designs through the 20th Century including 1930’s feedsack prints, fabrics influenced by the 1950’s modernist movement as well as atomic era fabric prints, sixties florals and seventies Peter Max style bold imagery. Our retro fabric collection is also extensive with graphic 1950’s styles like June Bug from Alexander Henry Fabrics. From Michael Miller Fabric we have ‘Home Ec’, reminiscent of a happy and perfect Doris Day style home, whilst ‘Springtime in Paris’ shows the lean lines of 50’s fashion with a beautiful Parisian backdrop. Alexander Henry’s pin-ups remind us of Hollywood’s golden era, see ‘Back in the Saddle’, ‘Las Senoritas’ (Folklorico) ‘Mirage’ (Pin-Ups Collection) and ‘Au Natural’ (Twin Peaks). ‘Future-Ella’ from Alexander Henry tips a nod at Jane Fonda’s fabulous Barbarella and takes us to the Atomic Era of early 1960’s with the graphic lines of the Nutmeg Collection from Robin Pickens & SE1 for Robert Kaufman, the delightful children’s fabric ‘Rocket Rascals’ by Michael Miller, and the fantastic Tammis Keefe tribute collection. ‘Sunny Daze’ from Alice Kennedy for Timeless Treasures is a 70’s classic, and we reach the peak of high fashion with Alexander Henry’s ‘La Strada’ (think Roxy Music, Jerry Hall and catwalks!).
